Mrs. Catherine I. Pollard, 68, of 12 W. Faville Ave., Dolgeville, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, in Little Falls Hospital, after a brief illness.
Catherine was born in Camden on Oct. 13, 1944, the daughter of John and Hazel (Scoville) Briglin, and was educated in Camden schools. She was employed by the former Daniel Green Shoe Company of Dolgeville for many years, retiring due to her health. Catherine was a companion to Earl F. Pollard for over 47 years until his passing on July 10, 2010. She is remembered by her family as enjoying crocheting, reading and the love for her dog, Angel.
Surviving her are sons, Mike Pollard, of Little Falls, and Thomas Pollard, of South Carolina; her sisters, Jean Wuthrich, of Rome, and Patricia Price, of Camden; a cousin, Roy Scoville, also of Camden; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Floyd Briglin.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home, 3 Faville Ave., Dolgeville. Burial will be on Thursday, Dec. 6, at 11 a.m. at the Forrest Lawn Cemetery, Camden. Friends and family are invited.
