Margaret W. (Geisler) Schrader, 92, formerly of River Road and State Route 5, Little Falls, passed away Friday, June 26, 2009, at the Masonic Care Community, Utica, where she had been a resident since March 2008.
She was born on February 17, 1917, in Long Eddy, the daughter of the late Jacob and Anna (Mackey) Werner. She was a graduate of Liberty High School, as well as a graduate of New Paltz Normal School and Oneonta State College.
She was united in marriage to her husband of 56 years, Ford A. Geisler, on May 29, 1940. Mr. Geisler predeceased her on January 5, 1996. On October 20, 2001, she was reunited in marriage to Carl Schrader at the United Presbyterian-Lutheran Parish Church, Dolgeville.
Mrs. Schrader was employed for 21 years as a teacher for the Little Falls City School District retiring in 1976.
She is survived by her husband Carl of the Masonic Care Community, Utica; her daughter Martha Holmes and her husband Earl of Wichita, Kansas; a sister Kathryn; two grandchildren, David Holmes and Sarah Holmes; three great-grandchildren, Rachelle, Morgan and Lauren Holmes; and sisters-in-law Pauline Geisler and Kay Werner. She was predeceased by her brother Jacob (Bud) Werner and her sister Freda.
Memorial services will be held at a time and location arranged by the family. Interment will take place at the Zion Rural Cemetery, Janesville.
