Mrs. Gladys C. King, 107, died Monday, June 2, 2008.
She is survived by her daughter, Pat Curtis, of Albuquerque, NM; a daughter-in-law, Yola King, of Binghamton; a sister-in-law, Dora Fountain, of Malone; granddaughters, Terrie Reese and husband, Jack, of McIntosh, NM, Sherrie Vogel and husband, Dave, of Albuquerque, NM, Kimberley Curtis and husband, Ed Smith, of Estancia, NM, Lori Ellis and husband, Dave, of Binghamton, Lisa King, of Albany, and Lynda Juser and husband, Dave, of Montrose, Pa.; grandson, Larry King and wife, Karen, of Binghamton; eight great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews, including nieces Joyce Kroll, of Fort Herkimer, and Kay Bailey, of Herkimer.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence King Sr., and son, Lawrence King Jr.
She loved to quilt and was quilting until a week before her death.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer, and at 11 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Reverend Mark Cunningham, pastor. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Herkimer.
Friends may attend calling hours at the funeral home prior to services on Wednesday morning from 9 until 10:30 a.m.
