Joyce (Burton) Fedele, 76, formerly of Brown Road, Litchfield, passed away on May 1, 2008.
Joyce was born on August 16, 1931, in Ilion, the daughter of the late Charles and Vernetta (March) Bouck. Joyce graduated from Ilion High School in 1948. She was employed for a short time as a secretary. She spent her later years as a homemaker. Joyce enjoyed cooking for her family and feeding and watching the birds. She also enjoyed many family get togethers with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Joyce’s first marriage was to the late Raymond Burton Jr. On July 30, 1988, she married Frank J. Fedele at Mount Zion Church in Utica.
She is survived by her husband, Frank; three sons and three daughters, William Burton and his companion, Jay, of Herkimer, Dale and Cathy Burton, of Lowman, Tracy and Florence Burton, of Rome, Kathy and Emerson Brown, of Chadwicks, Sallie Burton and her companion, Charles, of Litchfield, and Wendy Burton and her companion, Maria, of Oneonta; two brothers, Herbert and his wife, Joyce Bouck, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Grant and his wife, Arlene Bouck, of Clark Mills; three sisters, Dolores and her husband, Joseph Coveleski, and Myrtle Bouck, of Ilion, and Karen and her husband, James Vennera, of Rutherfordton, N.C.; her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one uncle and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves a brother-in-law, Gabriel Fedele, of Falmouth, Mass.; Steven and Rita Fedele, of Florida; Angie and Keith Edick, of Minnesota; and Patricia and Al Decola, of Herkimer.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was predeceased by three children, infant Charles Raymond, Debra Ann and James Burton, and her long time pet companion Wicket.
Joyce’s family wishes to express a special thank to her very good friend, Peggy Chapman, for her support and companionship.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., between Ilion and Frankfort (894-8000), on Monday evening, May 5, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer.
