June Ann Ackley, 75, of Slawson Street, entered into eternal rest on February 25, 2010, at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare with her loving family at her side.
She was born on December 1, 1934, in Dolgeville, daughter of the late William H. and Edna (Jaquay) Madison. She enjoyed her time spent living with Anna and Linda for 10 years. She especially enjoyed her trips with the both of them to the casino to play Bingo. She was employed with Daniel Green Co.
Survivors include her son, David Arthur Ackley Jr. and his wife Maryann Dethorne Ackley of Rotterdam; her daughter, Gayle Harrington and her husband John of Little Falls; her grandchildren, Chase, DeLayne, Colby, Logan, Royce, Michael, Scott and Samantha; her brothers, John Madison of Ilion, James Madison and his wife Dolores of Florida and Cecil “Zeke” Madison of Dolgeville; her sister, Anna Youker of Dolgeville; and her nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Arthur Madison, her sister, Gladys Trumbell ,and her sisters-in-law, Patricia Madison and Sophie Madison.
In keeping with June’s wishes there are no calling hours.
Interment will take place in the spring at Stratford Cemetery.
