Racing pigeons are gaining in popularity in China, and the sport is not cheap. According to Neatorama.com, Chinese breeder Yango Shibo says the price of such pigeons are soaring. In fact, he paid more than $1,000 for a German pigeon in 2001, and its descendants have earned him around $150,000 in prize money. According to the article, the highest price paid for a pigeon in China is $328,000.
