ILION, N.Y. —
The 38th annual Leo J. Sammon Jr. Memorial Wrestling Tournament will be held at Ilion High School Saturday.
Doors will open for admission at 9 a.m. with wrestling set to start at 9:30 a.m. A single admission fee — $3 for adults and $2 for students — is good the entire day and all proceeds will be donated to the Leo J. Sammon Memorial Scholarship Fund.
This year’s tournament will feature 15 teams, including Little Falls, Mohawk, Mt Markham, New Hartford, Whitesboro and host Ilion locally. Rome Free Academy, Beaver River, Copenhagen, Indian River, Lowville and South Lewis will also be participating from Section III with Norwich of Section IV and Berne-Knox-Westerlo and Watervliet from Section II.
