A Cold Brook man who allegedly failed to report some of his income on a welfare application now faces felony charges in Herkimer County, the county Sheriff’s Office said.
William Almas, Sr., 42, is charged with offering a false instrument for filing, deputies said.
Almas allegedly failed to report self-employment income on a welfare benefits application filed with the Department of Social Services in February 2012, deputies said.
He was released on an appearance ticket and will return to Herkimer Village Court at a later date, deputies said.
