"Silver Linings Playbook" received nominations in the Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, and Best Director categories. "Marvel's The Avengers," the highest-grossing film of 2012, recieved a nomination for Best Visual Effects. The 85th Academy Awards will be presented Feb. 24.
