In the news: Bluefin tuna – one of the largest fish in the world – that were in Japan when the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant leaked made it all the way across the ocean and still had elevated levels of radiation. Scientists had never before seen radiation carried this far by a fish, and their report was published this week. Despite the radiation, the contaminated tuna was considered safe to eat, interestingly enough.

Happening today: The U.S. men’s soccer team is preparing for 2014 World Cup qualifying by playing powerhouse Brazil tonight. The game is at 8 p.m. EDT on ESPN2, ESPN3 and TeleFutura.

Opening bell: The Dow Jones opened at 12,580.69. It finished up 125.86‎ points Tuesday.
