Pilot ryan mowers is a first lieutenant in the United State Air Force.
Currently stationed in Germany, Mowers is serving in Africa where he flies humanitarian missions.

Mowers graduated from Dolgeville Central School in 1999.
The school is honoring former students who are serving overseas by tying yellow ribbons on trees that will remain there until they return home.
