Weird news: A Loch Ness Monster statue that someone placed in the Chippewa River in Eau Claire, Wis., must be removed, state officials said. The person who created the statue and placed it in the river is unknown, but a person who claimed responsibility has emailed the Eau Claire Leader-Telegram anonymously and said it Nessie would be gone within 10 days. A Menards store in the area offered a home to the statue, but it isn’t known if that will happen.

Opening bell: The Dow opened at 13,038.27. It fell 168.32‎ points on Friday.

Gas update: According to GasBuddy.com, the lowest gas prices are in Oklahoma ($3.451) and Missouri ($3.486).
