A 35-year-old Little Falls man died Thursday night as a result of injuries he received from a motorcycle accident on Bronner Road in the town of Manheim. State police said that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Thomas McGill was riding a 1983 Honda motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a right-hand curve in the roadway, according to a news release.
McGill exited the road from the north shoulder, went into a ditch and was ejected from the motorcycle, according to the release.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy was scheduled to determine an exact cause of death.
The state police were assisted at the scene by Little Falls Ambulance, the Dolgeville Volunteer Fire Department and the Little Falls and Dolgeville police departments. Dolgeville firefighters were called to the scene at 9:29 p.m., according to Fire Chief Roger Cromer, to close off traffic on Bronner Road between Burrell Road and Brockett Road. The ten men remained in service until 11:21 p.m.
