In the news: An Egyptian couple was charged after they put their 5-month-old baby in carry-on luggage and were caught by the airport X-ray scanner. The couple was at an airport in the United Arab Emirates and didn’t have a visa for the infant, so instead of waiting two days for the papers to be processed, the husband talked his wife into putting the baby in a bag.

Happening today: The House will take a vote today on whether or not to repeal President Barack Obama’s health care law. The vote is expected to pass in the Republican-led House but fail in the Democrat-controlled Senate.

Opening bell: The Dow Jones opened at 12,653.12 after finishing down 83.17 points Tuesday.

Watercooler talk: N.J. teen jumps 35 feet off chairlift in panic

A New Jersey teenager and her friend were stranded on a chairlift. As a violent thunderstorm approached, the girl kicked off her shoes and jumped 35 feet to the ground in a panic.
