Karen Nagle has been elected to serve another term as president of the Dolgeville Central School Board of Education during the 2011-12 school year.
Nagle was re-elected to the post during the board’s annual organizational meeting on Wednesday.
Robert Maxwell as also elected to serve another term as vice president.
Nagle and Maxwell assumed their posts after the administration of their oaths of office.
An oath of faithful performance was also administered to re-elected board member Peter Jaikin.
Appointments and designations approved during Wednesday’s meeting included Sandra Allen, district clerk, extracurricular fund treasurer and records access officer; Superintendent of Schools Christine Reynolds, deputy clerk, purchasing agent, hearing officer for the free and reduced lunch program and payroll certification officer; Donna Ploss, district treasurer; Sara Martyniuk, deputy district treasurer; M&T Bank and Herkimer County, tax collector; M&T Bank tellers, deputy tax collector; Dr. Richard Brown, school physician; M&T Bank, Fleet, Chase, Adirondack Bank, Central National Bank, Citizens Bank and U.S. Bank, official depository; and The Times, official newspaper.
Other appointments and designations included Paula Mosher as Census enumerator and attendance officer; Debra Marshall as attendance officer; district Business Administrator John McKeown as purchasing agent, records management officer, investment officer, Title IX coordinator and faculty auditor for extraclassroom accounts; Ronald Lasowski as verification and review officer for the free and reduced lunch program and Medicaid compliance officer; William VanGorder of the Mang Insurance Agency as insurance consultant; the Oneida-Madison BOCES Safety Service as asbestos inspection and management officials; James A. Green High School Principal Timothy Jenny as 504 coordinator for grades 9-12; Dolgeville Middle School Principal Melissa Hoskey as 504 coordinator for grades 5-8; Dolgeville Elementary School Principal Susan Butler as 504 coordinator for grades K-4; Jacquelene Hill as internal claims auditor and district Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds Michael Catalina as integrated pest management coordinator and asbestos abatement LEA designee.
Nagle, Maxwell and Diana Ayers-Darling were named to the audit and charter review committee and Maxwell as named as the district’s School Board Institute representative.
The third Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. was established as the board of education’s meeting date and time and the mileage reimbursement rate established by the Internal Revenue Service will be used to compensate individuals using their personal vehicles for official duties on behalf of the district.
Authorizations approved for the upcoming school year included Reynolds to approve attendance at conferences and to appoint employees on a temporary basis with the understanding the board of education will make the final determination at the next subsequent board of education meeting; Jenny, Hoskey and Butler to suspend pupils and the establishment of a $100 petty cash fund for the high school and a $200 petty cash fund for the school bus garage.
