Herkimer Police
May 9
•Justin M. Bellinger, 20, of Ilion, was arrested on two counts of second-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child after a Herkimer Police Department and Herkimer County Child Advocacy Center investigation revealed that he allegedly had sexual relations with a 13-year-old girl on April 17. Bellinger was arraigned before Judge Philip O’Donnell in Herkimer Village Court and was remanded to the Herkimer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $25,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 14.
May 13
•Marshall S. Hoffman, 22, of Ilion, was arrested for fourth-degree grand larceny for allegedly stealing a credit card from a residence where he was employed as an activities leader. The incident occurred on March 26 and village police were assisted by the New Hartford Police Department during the investigation. Hoffman was arraigned before Judge Philip O’Donnell and was released to a family member to appear in court on May 14.
Gloversville Police
May 13
•George W. Danforth, 55, of 9 Lincoln St., Gloversville, was arrested for first-degree commission of a criminal sexual act, first-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child as a result of an investigation conducted by the Gloversville Police Department, Dolgeville Police Department, Herkimer County Department of Social Services and the Herkimer County Child Advocacy Center. The investigation revealed that Danforth had allegedly inappropriately touched and performed oral sex on a 10-year-old female on several occasions in the city of Gloversville from 2006 to 2008. Danforth was arraigned and was remanded to the Fulton County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
Ilion Police
May 13
•Grant L. Gonyea, 18, of 20 View Terrace, Ilion, was arrested for first-degree unlawful dealing with a child after hosting an underage drinking party at his residence. Gonyea was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Ilion Village Court on May 22.
Little Falls Fire Dept.
May 11
•The department personnel responded to an automatic alarm at 522 E. Main St. at 10:20 a.m. Upon arrival and investigation the alarm was determined to be an inadvertent pull station activation. The firefighters returned service at 10:30 a.m.

•Ambulance 605 responded to the scene of an accident at the intersection of Ann and Albany streets at 2:08 p.m. but was not used.

•Ambulance 605 responded to request for advanced life support assistance from Salisbury and Stratford Ambulance at 1:12 p.m.

•Ambulance 601 responded to a call at the Indian Castle Service Area on the New York State Thruway at 2:42 p.m. but was not used.
