May 10
•Jerry W. Laymon Jr. 36, of 8 Spruce St., Ilion, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and speeding in a speed zone. He was arraigned before Ilion Village Judge Gary Norman and was released to reappear in court on May 20.

•A 16-year-old male was arrested and charged with third-degree assault for allegedly causing physical injury to another person. He was issued an appearance ticket and was released to his parents to appear in Ilion Village Court at a later date.

•Shelley D. Gookins, 28, of 135 Spain Gulf Rd., Utica, and Kelly M. Riggsbee, 38, of 951 Hazelhurst Ave., Utica, were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after their vehicle was stopped on the New York State Thruway in the town of Danube for having tinted windows. Gookins and Riggsbee were released on tickets to appear in Danube Town Court on June 2.
