St. Johnsville Police
April 27
•Kenneth D. Shaut, 19, of St. Johnsville, was arrested for fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without a license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with improper license plates and operating an uninspected motor vehicle at 11:32 a.m. at the intersection of Monroe and Center streets. Shaut was arrested after police discovered he was operating a vehicle with plates that were stolen from a village resident who had died several years ago. He was arraigned before Village Justice Bruce Dye and bail was set at $500 cash or $1,000 bail bond. Shaut was released after a relative posted his bail.
Ilion Police

•Steven A. Wiater, 24, of 1212 Ash St., Utica, was arrested for second-degree harassment for his alleged involvement in an October 2007 incident. He was arrested on an Ilion Village Court warrant with the assistance of the Utica Police Department.
Little Falls Fire Department
April 30
•The department personnel responded to a report of a possible structure fire on Route 170 at 7:31 a.m. Upon investigation with Engines 111 and 112, the call was unfounded. The department personnel returned to service at 7:57 a.m.

•Ambulance 601 transported a patient from Little Falls Hospital to Van Allen Nursing Home at 11:38 a.m.
•Ambulance 601 responded to a call in the city at 8:34 p.m. but was not used.

Dolgeville Fire Department

• At 1:25 a.m., Dolgeville firemen were requested by S&S Ambulance to respond to 126 N. Main St., Dolgeville, for a lift assist. Dolgeville firemen and police responded and assisted, and were back in service at 1:42 a.m.
