UTICA — Six new radiological technologists received diplomas on June 26 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center School of Radiography’s 44th annual commencement exercises, including Emily Tedesco of Frankfort. In addition, ten freshmen students moved up to senior status and received pins, including Constance Renda of Little Falls and Paul Wiswell of West Winfield.

ALBANY — The College of Saint Rose announced that 802 students have been named to its spring 2008 dean’s list. Full-time students who complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and acheive a semester grade point average of at least 3.5 with no grades of D, F, Incomplete or Pass/Fail are eligible for inclusion on the list. Local students named to the spring dean’s list include Alicia Audino and Michelle Stevens of Ilion, Heather Mcraw of Mohawk, Charis Anderson of Canajoharie, Jason Waite of Fort Plain and Kylee Gros of Nelliston.

ALFRED — Nearly 900 four and two-year degree candidates received diplomas from Alfred State College this spring. Associate and baccalaureate degrees were awarded in fields of agriculture, health, business and engineering technology, as well as the arts and sciences. Among the members of the class of 2008 were Ryan Senatore of Jordanville, Vincent Dobrovolc of Little Falls, Michael Shepardson of Little Falls and Anthony Wronka of West Winfield.

Students must achieve at least a 3.4 grade point average during the semester to qualify for their school or college’s dean’s list. Named to dean’s list were Bryan Fischer of Ilion, a major in pre-law; Katherine Murphy of Ilion, a major in biology; Bridget Sweeney of Ilion, a major in biology; Thomas LaPorte of Newport, a major in psychology and policy studies; Charles Magnone of Fort Plain, a major in piano; Alana Basloe of Herkimer, a major in finance and marketing management; Ben Ackerman of Little Falls, a major in finance and marketing management, and Nikki Beppu of Mohawk, a major in marketing management and supply chain management.

BROCKPORT — Natalia Scarno, the daughter of Dominick and Shelley (Quinn) Scarano of Little Falls, was named to the spring 2008 semester dean’s list at SUNY Brockport. To be named to dean’s list, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.40 to 3.69. Scarano is working on a dual major in dance performance and arts for children, with a minor in education.
