A local man has been charged with a social host violation after serving eight minors at a drinking party this past weekend.
According to Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Cory Calhoun, of Minden, was arrested after serving each of the minors ranging from age 18-20, a violation of the Montgomery County Social Host Law. Deputies were dispatched to the scene after complaints of a possible drinking party.
Arrested by Sheriff’s Deputies M. Shang and M. Pierce, the youths were issued tickets for possession of an alcoholic beverage under the age of 21 with the intent to consume. Astin Whiteman, 19, of 355 Youngs Rd., Fort Plain; Cody Milne, 20, of 286 Young Dr., Fort Plain; Wesley McDuffee, 19, of 6597 State Highway 5S, Fort Plain; Garrett Pechrel, 20, of 176 State Highway 80, Fort Plain; Kristen Stevens, 20, of 936 Carlisle Rd., Fort Plain; Alannah Haig, 18, of 56 Phillips Ave., Canajoharie; Sarah Haig, 20, of 56 Phillips Ave., Canajoharie, and Siobhan Donlan, 20, of 31 Willett St., Fort Plain, were all arrested during the bust.
