June 28 was proclaimed Chris Anderson Day by the Little Falls City Mayor Robert Peters on Thursday.

The proclamation noted that Anderson’s family has owned the Valley Cinema Twin from 1980 to 1996, when he took over the business himself. It noted that Anderson has “supported his community by supporting independent filmmakers as a place to showcase their films and supported numerous benefits including: breast cancer walks, donating water  bottles to events, raising money for our local schools, HARC and Lion Club support, donated passes and also attended events to help organizations.

On Sunday, July 8 at 1 p.m., the cinema will have Family Day, where all children 14 and under will be admitted for free and all adults 15 and older will be $5 each for all performances.
