Meet Robin, the Android version of Siri.

Robin is your voice assistant for local information, GPS, navigation, communication and fun.  You keep your eyes on the road and Robin takes care of the details.

Robin debuted a few months ago and looked like she would give Siri a serious run for her money.  She has now been given a complete overhaul with version 2.0 and she’s smarter than ever, listens better and has been given a visual facelift. 

Here are some of the things Robin can do.

               Send hands free email and can read your email.

               Text by voice.

               Listen to text messages as they come.

               Have your Twitter feed read to you.

               Read the news or weather to you.

               Search Yelp reviews.

               Have your Facebook feed read to you. Or post to your Facebook by voice.

               Ask for directions and receive proactive traffic alerts as you go.  Also includes ETA warnings.

               Get information on parking or gas prices.

               Tell jokes.

               Find locations in your area such as a restaurant or dry cleaners.

Although Robin is in Beta format, I have been using Robin for several weeks now and just love her.  To activate Robin after the app has been downloaded, simply wave your hand over your screen.  This activates the smartphone voice system and Robin is ready to go.
