Google Alerts is a simple, easy to use way for you to monitor what is happening on the web that is important to you. Google Alerts are emails that are automatically sent to you by Google when Google finds new information about the search terms you have supplied. It is an easy to use way to keep track of what you find most important.
I use Google Alerts to keep me posted about what people are saying about my businesses. If I find that someone has posted somewhere about one of my businesses, I sure want to know what they are saying and usually I want to respond to what they are saying. Other uses could include
Follow a news story I find interesting;
Follow competition or industry happenings;
Follow a celebrity;
Follow a topic I find interesting.
I can set the parameters of what I want to know, how often I want to receive notifications and where I want my emails to be delivered.
