  • KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Carol A. Hysack, 61, of 3663 Late Morning Circle, Kissimmee, Florida, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014, in Kissimmee, Florida, following a lengthy battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). She has resided in Florida for the past 19 years.
    She was born on April 18, 1953, in Little Falls the daughter of Gertrude (Schmelz) Hysack of Little Falls and the late Frank C. Hysack, Sr, who predeceased her on Nov. 19, 1992. She was a graduate of Little Falls High school, class of 1972.
    Carol was employed with the office staff at Wal-Mart in Kissimmee, Florida.
    She enjoyed collecting owl figurines and especially loved baking Christmas cookies to give to friends and family and decorating her home for the Christmas holiday.
    Carol is survived by her mother, Gertrude Hysack of Little Falls; her loving companion of 34 years, Glenn (Smitty) Smith of Kissimmee, Florida; her brothers, Frank C. Hysack, Jr. and his wife, Peggy, of Mohawk, Robert Hysack of Fairfield, David (Stash) Hysack of Dolgeville, James (Whitey) Hysack and his wife, Shari, of Fairfield and Kevin Hysack of Wilmington, North Carolina; her sisters, Mary Perrone of Millinocket, Maine, and Barbara Ostasz of Herkimer; and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her sister, Ellen M. Hysack, on Aug. 19, 1999.
    Funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
    Local arrangements are by Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann St., Little Falls.
    It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Carol be considered to the ALS Association Florida Chapter, 3242 Parkside Center Circle, Tampa, FL 33619.
