The Chamber will conduct its 46th annual Membership Meeting and Luncheon on noon on Thursday, April 24, at Francesca’s Banquet Facility.
Silicon Valley entrepreneur and Mohawk Valley visionary Martin Babinec will be the keynote speaker.
“Upstate is actually well positioned to tap the growing interest of our best and brightest talent wanting to work in new industries. While too many currently leave to pursue these opportunities elsewhere, I will explain how efforts already under way are making a difference in keeping more talent here following college graduation as start-up companies can power job growth faster than any other sector in the economy,” Babinec said in a news release.
“We are so proud of our business community and feel they need to be recognized for the work they do to make our county a better place to live,” Chamber Executive Director John Scarano said in the release.
At the April 24 event, Jon Weber and Weber Septic & Sewer Services will be recognized as the Chamber’s Business of the Year and team owner Travis Heiser and the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs will be honored as the Chamber’s Promotion/Tourism Business of the Year. Lisa Betrus, chief executive officer of Valley Health Services, will be recognized as the Chamber’s Visionary Individual of the Year.
To attend the membership meeting and luncheon, call the Chamber at 866-7820.
