  • DOLGEVILLE — The first seasonal meeting of the Dolgeville-Manheim Historical Society will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, at the historical society’s museum at 74 S. Main St., Dolgeville.
The evening will be highlighted with a “show and tell” by members, including President Robert Maxwell’s showing of artifacts and memorabilia collected since the last regular society meeting in December.
Upcoming events will include election of officers at the May 27 meeting and the society’s annual covered dish picnic on June 24 at the Maxwell home.
Plans will also be discussed for participation in the annual Violet Festival activities on June 13, 14 and 15.
Notice has been given that the museum will once again receive at least one county worker for the summer that will help in the continuing goal of adding more of the museum’s collection of slide shows on Facebook.
On June 3, the Dolgeville Rotary Club will be given a tour of the museum as part of their regular business meeting at 7 p.m. Any groups wishing to arrange a tour may contact Maxwell at 429-8574.
