  • LITTLE FALLS — As The Times front page article on April 14 reported: “Radio has come back to Little Falls.”
Tom Laurenson, the founder of Little Falls Radio, will be the guest speaker at the Tuesday, April 22, meeting of the Little Falls Historical Society at the WCA at 534 Garden St. The 7 p.m. program is free and open to the public.
The new radio station is unlike most radio stations in that it is a nonprofit operation. The station will transmit through three low-power transmitters and focus on Little Falls events and organizations.
The Scottish-born Laurenson has helped to establish three other community-type radio stations, including KWPA in Washington State.
Little Falls Radio is already being streamed live on their website at www.littlefallsradio.us. The station can also be found on Facebook at Little Falls Radio, Mohawk Valley.
Lauenson’s presentation will be preceded by a historical society business meeting. Light refreshments will be served after the presentation.
