  • Woman charged with scheme to defraud

  • ILION A Frankfort woman was arrested on March 27 on charges she had stolen money from three people during a three-year period, according to Ilion police.
    Police report Michelle L. Smith-Risi, 47, of Orchard Street, was charged with first-degree scheme to defraud and third-degree grand larceny in connection with a complaint she had been stealing money from September 2010 until November 2013.
    The three victims reported the loss of a total of $14,930.87, police said.
    Smith-Risi was arraigned in Ilion Village Court and was directed to the Herkimer County Probation Department for an electronic monitoring system.
    Woman charged with grand larceny
    ILION An Ilion woman was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny Monday, according to Ilion police.
    Suzanne M. McGraw, 40, of English Street, was issued a ticket to appear in village court at 5 p.m. on April 1, police said.
