  • GIRLS' BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Little Falls rallies to beat Cooperstown

  • COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. — The unbeaten Little Falls Mounties trailed by nine points at halftime on the road Friday but outscored Cooperstown 33-14 in the second half and won by 10.
    The 51-41 victory ran Little Falls’ record to 12-0.
    Gen Schoff scored 16 points, Kelli Shepardson scored 12 and Amy Hart had 10 for the Center State Conference Division II-leading Mounties (12-0, 6-0 CSC-II).
    Liz Millea had 21 points for Cooperstown (7-3, 3-3 CSC-II).
    The win gave Little Falls a sweep of the regular season’s series with Cooperstown, the team that beat the Mounties in Section III’s 2013 Class C-1 title game.
