  • GIRLS' BASKETBALL: New York Mills gets by Herkimer

  • HERKIMER, N.Y. — The New York Mills Marauders maintained a steady scoring pace through Wednesday’s game and defeated Herkimer 46-39.
    The Marauders (8-3) scored 11 points in each of the first three quarters and outscored the Magicians (4-8) 13-8 in the fourth to secure the win.
    Domenique Talerico scored 21 points to lead New York Mills while Cassidy Albright added 13.
    Chelsea Jory had 12 points, five rebounds and two blocked shots for Herkimer. McKenzie Pine added 10 points and seven rebounds, Maxine Grogan had eight points and four steals, and Hannah DeLude had eight points, three steals, three assists and three rebounds.
    The Magicians played at home Friday against West Canada Valley.
