  • GIRLS' BASKETBALL: Little Falls runs record to 11-0 with win in Clinton

  • CLINTON, N.Y. — The undefeated Little Falls Mounties ran their record to 11-0 Tuesday with a 53-26 win at Clinton.
    The Mounties, currently ranked third in the state in Class C by the New York State Sportswriters Association, outscored the Warriors 11-3 in the first quarter and led by 20 points at halftime on the road.
    Gen Schoff scored 17 of her Mountie-high 19 points in the first half and had 13 rebounds while blocking four shots. Kelli Shepardson scored 11 points while Hannah Becker, who left Saturday’s game at Holland Patent with a leg injury, returned to action with 10 points, seven rebounds and four steals. Cheyenne Rivenburg also had seven rebounds and Laura Wind scored nine points.
    Heather Knight hit four three-pointers and led Clinton (8-5) with 13 points. Jazmin Knight had 14 rebounds.
    The Mounties play on the road again Friday at Cooperstown.
