  • NEWPORT, N.Y. — The West Canada Valley Indians outscored Central Valley Academy 50-21 over the final three quarters Friday and defeated the Thunder 71-40.
    Ryan Grogan led West Canada Valley with 13 points, Mike Sternberg had 12 and Jordan Yaworski and Alex Williams added 10 each as 11 players got in on the scoring for the Indians.
    Ryan Sponburgh had 10 points for Central Valley Academy.

    WEST WINFIELD. N.Y. — Travis Nelson scored 17 of his 25 points in the second half of the Mt. Markham Mustangs’ 44-30 win over Canastota’s Raiders Friday.
    The game stayed close for three quarters before the Mustangs outscored the Raiders 19-10 in the fourth.
    Anthony Sicilia led Canastota with 12 points.

    SHERBURNE, N.Y. — Four Marauders scored in double figures Friday and Sherburne-Earlville defeated the Frankfort-Schuyler Maroon Knights 77-53.
    Kevin Vibbard had a game-high 21 points for the Marauders while Austin Jasper scored 16, Juliene Alsheimer added 12 and Cody Marango had 10.
    Ryan DeRollo scored 13 points, Richard Morocco had 12 and Mitchel Shortt chipped in with 10 for Frankfort-Schuyler.

    Dalton Cousins had 21 of his 33 points in the second half for Vernon-Verona-Sherrill. Casey Jones added 10 points.
    Elliot Hernandez scored 14 points and Kyle Swiecki had 11 for Adirondack (4-6).
