  • Mohawk Valley Choral Society begins rehearsals

  • ILION — The Mohawk Valley Choral Society will begin rehearsals for its 32nd season at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 20, in the vocal music room of Central Valley Academy in Ilion.
    The non-audition choral society is composed of singers ranging in age from teenagers to those in their 80s. Anyone with Mondays free, an interest in singing choral music and willing to commit themselves to Monday night rehearsals is invited to join the Mohawk Valley Choral Society.
    Under the direction of Mark Bunce, the choral society will present a concert entitled “I Hear America Singing, a concert of American vocal music.” The concert will include music by Leonard Bernstein, William Billings, Aaron Copland, Moses Hogan and André Thomas, among others.
