  • BOYS' BASKETBALL: Fort Plain beats Wolves by 12

  • ST. JOHNSVILLE, N.Y. — The Fort Plain Hilltoppers outscored their hosts 22-12 in the second quarter and defeated the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Wolves 65-53 Saturday.
    The game, which had been rescheduled from Friday night because of the weather, was tied at the end of the opening period.
    Jon Calbet scored 15 points to lead four Hilltoppers in double figures. Xavier Lanier and Eric Orologio each had 11 points for Fort Plain (4-5, 2-3 WAC North) and Kiernan Briggs scored 10.
    Dylan Klock scored 15 points for the Wolves (4-5, 2-3 WAC North) while Payton Johnson and Joey D’Antonino each had 12. D’Antonino’s scored his 12 points on four three-point shots.
    Fort Plain plays at Northville Monday and Mayfield Wednesday while Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville’s next game is Friday at Galway.
