DOLGEVILLE, N.Y. — Brandon Lewandowski scored a career-high 32 points Saturday and the Dolgeville Blue Devils snapped a long-running losing streak with their 66-36 win over the Remsen Rams.
The Blue Devils, winless in 2012-13 and so far this season, had lost 30 consecutive games. Dolgeville ended longtime coach Brian Ellis’ final season with five consecutive losses in early 2012. The Blue Devils did not win a game under Darren Brown last winter and had started John Campagna’s first season 0-7.
Dolgeville had last won a game Jan. 21, 2012, when the Blue Devils beat Poland 47-44.
Playing at home, Dolgeville led 26-12 at halftime and kept the pressure on from there. Nick Darling contributed eight points to the victory, Alex Johnson scored seven, and Alex Blakeslee and Tyler Smith each scored six.
Sabastian Bullard led Remsen with 17 points.
Dolgeville plays on the road Tuesday at Cooperstown.
