  • UTICA — The Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Foundation conducted a ribbon cutting with representatives from GPO Federal Credit Union in November to celebrate the newly renovated medical imaging waiting room made possible through a donation from GPO.
“GPO has been a longtime supporter of Faxto-St. Luke’s Healthcare,” said Beth Park, marketing director for GPO, in a news release. “This year, we wanted to do something that has a direct impact on the patients and families that are being cared for at the hospital. When you walk into the lobby, it is just beautiful. It doesn’t feel like a hospital. GPO is proud to extend that warm and welcoming feeling to the medical imaging waiting room.”
FSLH recently installed new nuclear medicine and interventional radiology technology in the imaging department that assists providers in detecting disease in its early stages in addition to performing life saving treatments.
“The new waiting room perfectly complements the additions we made to the medical imaging department earlier this year,” said Anthony Scibelli, MS, MBA, senior vice president of operations for FSLH, in the release. “We are extremely grateful to GPO for their continued support throughout the years. This most recent donation provides an atmosphere for patients that matches the state of the art technology available to them.”
