ST. JOHNSVILLE — Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville High School has initiated a new Student of the Month program to recognize students who make a difference in the classroom.
“The goal of the Students of the Month program is to reward teamwork, rigor, positive behavior, extra effort and good student citizenship,” OESJ High School Principal Ronald Smith said. “The award will be given to students who demonstrate respect, active participation in the classroom, dedication to work, willingness to help peers and leadership.”
The December Students of the Month are freshmen Lyndsey Lynch, sophomore Samantha Lamphere, junior Hunter Boonen and senior Jeremy Wegener.
The students’ names and pictures will be placed on the “Wolf Sign” that hangs in the hallway in the high school main lobby.
Students of the Month will also be honored at a principal’s breakfast with Smith at the end of the month.
