What do you enjoy most about your sport?
What makes basketball so enjoyable is the team camaraderie. I thoroughly enjoy acting as a leader to give our team the best chance of winning.
Something I like about track is is the inevitable adrenaline rush as I am racing down the home stretch.
What is your most memorable athletic moment?
My most memorable athletic moment is undoubtedly the first time I ran a sub-five-minute mile. It was an accomplishment I strived to achieve for years. Although I did not win the race, I was still ecstatic.
Tell us about someone who inspires you in sports and why.
My assistant cross country coach and track coach, Mr. (Adam) Dembrow has served as a great inspiration for me. I become motivated when I watch how hard he works to become a better runner.
Also, every member of my family has inspired me to become a better athlete.
What are your greatest challenges balancing academics and sports?
Four years of three sports and difficult classes has forced me to acquire efficient time management. I have learned to utilize every minute in my day. The most challenging times are when I have a game or meet and a big test the next day.
What are your plans after graduating from high school?
I am hoping to pursue a career as an engineer and serve in the United State military.
