  • GIRLS' BASKETBALL: Spa Catholic ends losing streak with win over Fort Plain

  • SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — The Saratoga Catholic Saints finished strong at home Wednesday and defeated Fort Plain’s Hilltoppers 45-35.
    The Saints (2-5, 2-2 WAC North) led by one point to start the final period and outscored the Hilltoppers (3-3, 2-2 WAC North) 17-8 down the stretch. Fort Plain went unbeaten within the Western Athletic Conference’s North Division last season as the league champion.
    Kaylie Fish and Kiera Taylor each scored 10 points for Saratoga Catholic which ended a three-game losing streak.
    Haley Kilmartin scored 15 points for Fort Plain. Abby Boyer added 11.
    The Hilltoppers take on Northville Friday.
