  • BOYS' BASKETBALL: Tornadoes top Owen D. Young

  • VAN HORNESVILLE, N.Y. — Mark Hennings scored 28 points Thursday and led the Poland Tornadoes to a 62-49 win at Owen D. Young.
    Cameron Tabor added 12 points and Ross Agen had nine for the Tornadoes (4-1, 2-0 CSC-IV) who won their fourth consecutive game after a season-opening loss in Little Falls.
    Marty Collins scored 27 points for Owen D. Young (1-3, 0-2 CSC-IV). Maxwell Crisman added eight points.
    Owen D. Young plays a non-league game Saturday afternoon at Brookfield and returns home for Tuesday’s game against Remsen. Poland is off until Friday when the Tornadoes travel to Remsen.
