  • Library to host holiday arts, craft fair

  • CANAJOHARIE — The Canajoharie Library’s seventh annual holiday arts and craft fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, at the library at 2 Erie Blvd., Canajoharie.
    “We have an amazing group of artisans this year,” said library Director Leah LaFera in a news release. “The variety in products and the caliber of talent is going to make this craft show really stand-out in the region.”

    All participating vendors have donated a handmade item to the annual gift raffle. Items will be on view the day of and tickets will be for sale with a drawing at 3:30 p.m. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the library.
    The Arkell Museum’s new exhibit, “Dinotopia: the Fantastical Art of James Gurney,” organized by the Norman Rockwell Museum, will be open with a gallery activity for children. Regular admission will be waived and a $3 suggested donation for adults will gain access to the entire museum. Children will be admitted free.
    Visitors will also be able to enjoy lunch and take home baked goods by the Palatine Literary Society, with proceeds benefiting their high school scholarship fund.
    The Canajoharie Library winter used book sale will feature used books, movies, music, art books, vintage and holiday titles and a selection of children’s books.
