  • Communication arts degree programs featured on ‘HCTV Takeover’

  • HERKIMER — Herkimer County Community College will present “HCTV Takeover” on Thursday, Nov. 21, carried live on Time Warner Cable’s public access channel, HCTV.
    The three-hour live television event will run from 8 to 11 p.m.
    The “HCTV Takeover” will highlight the various communication arts programs at Herkimer, including radio and television broadcasting, digital filmmaking, new media and music industry.
    Radio-TV broadcasting major Melissa Krull, of Cold Brook, will serve as the assistant producer for the show, and will handle some on-air hosting duties. Digital filmmaking students will be interviewed, and several student films will be shown. There will also be live simulcasting from the campus radio station, WVHC 91.5 FM, and live acoustic performances by music industry students.
