DOLGEVILLE — LaMar A. Hill, currently working with Mohawk Valley EDGE on the Marcy nanocenter initiative, which is part of Nano Utica, will visit Dolgeville Central School on Tuesday, Nov.19.
During the day, Hill will tour the school and meet with high school math and science students and teachers to discuss what nanotechnology is and how students can prepare for careers in nanotechnology.
Hill will make a presentation during the board of education meeting at 6 p.m. in the Sam Camardello Auditorium where he will discuss the future of nanotechnology and the critical role Dolgeville Central School can play in preparing its students for opportunities in nanotechnology. The public is invited to attend.
In addition to his role with Mohawk Valley EDGE, Hill has also worked with the NY Loves Nanotech initiative across upstate New York and was formerly an executive at what is now the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering in Albany.
