Herkimer County Community College’s Travel Club members and Travel and Events Management students recently traveled to Manhattan Passenger Cruise Terminal to participate in a familiarization tour of the cruise ship, Carnival Splendor, along with a VIP luncheon.
Carnival sales representative Kelley Corbett guided the tour, giving the students information about the Splendor. As part of the trip, a donation was made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital by Carnival Cruise Lines.
The students were invited by Deb Lawendowki, an HCCC alumnus and owner of Cruise Wizards in Whitesboro. They were accompanied by associate professor of travel and events Management Debra Sutton, travel club advisor John Campagna and Gerald Smith.
