  • James Robert "Bob" Wildermuth, recently of Kittery Point, Maine, passed away on Aug. 19, 2013, after a long illness.
    Bob was born on Feb. 12, 1923, and raised in Little Falls. He met his wife, Mildred Elizabeth Herrold, in York, Pa., where he worked as an electrical engineer. After taking a civil service position, they moved to Midwest City, Okla., to work at Tinker Air Force Base, where he eventually retired and lived until moving to Maine to be closer to family.
    Bob is survived by his wife, Mildred; his brothers, Clark Wildermuth, of Glens Falls, and David Wildermuth (Charlotte), of Bay Village, Ohio; his children, James Wildermuth, of San Diego, Calif., David Wildermuth (Catherine), of Austin, Texas, Joan Hamill, of Saco, Maine, and Janice Pilant (Bruce), of Kittery Point, Maine; and his grandchildren, Jonah Pilant (Melissa), of Ashburn, Va., and Collin Pilant, of Ann Arbor, Mich.
