John “Jae” Joseph Kaiser, II, 49, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 12, 2013, at his home, in Syracuse.
Jae was born on Dec. 9, 1963, to John Joseph Kaiser and Donna Beverly (Kaiser) Foster. He graduated from East Syracuse-Minoa High School in 1982 and attended Fulton County Community College.
Jae took photos for the “Gater Racing News” and loved to watch car racing and attending antique car and truck shows with his father’s 1929 Model-A Ford pickup truck. Jae also enjoyed RC cars, and he organized his own RC racing newspaper called, “RC Transmitter.” In his free time, he also enjoyed gardening, flowers, plants, sailing, ski club, Cub and Boy Scouts, tropical fish and his cat, Max.
He was employed at the Museum Company at Destiny and the Sheraton Hotel in Syracuse and had a small interior decorating business in Long Beach, Calif.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Helen and Donald Galbraith, and his paternal grandparents, Helen and Fred Kaiser.
He is survived by his most beloved parents, Jack Kaiser and Donna (Kaiser) Foster and her husband, Gerry Foster; one brother, Dana Michael Kaiser; and his nephew, Joshua Michael John Kaiser. Also surviving are an aunt, Nancy Miller, and uncle, Roger (Sheila) Galbraith, and many cousins.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Keegan-Osbelt-Knight Funeral Home, 900 N. Salina St., Syracuse.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at Keegan-Osbelt-Knight Funeral Home and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at Assumption Church. The Rite of Committal and Burial will be immediately following the Mass in Assumption Cemetery.
