Canajoharie Library announced a call for entries for its 2013 Annual Juried Art Show.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, Oct. 18, at 5 p.m. and the show will be on view from Dec. 6 through Jan. 31, 2014.
Any artist with ties to New York state may enter. Entries are welcome in any media. An artist may submit unlimited entries at $15 per piece. Library and museum members are entitled to a $13 per piece rate.
Submissions for the juried show will be evaluated by Ruth Daly. Daly is the current interim associate director of the Opalka Gallery at Sage Colleges in Albany. She is also an independent curator and gallerist.
Daly will choose approximately 40 works for inclusion in the show from digital submissions. Cash prizes will be awarded in three categories — painting, graphics and mixed media and sculpture. Daly will also select one work as Best in Show, which includes a $250 cash prize and a show in one of the Canajoharie Library’s Community Galleries in 2014.
