  • GIRLS' CROSS COUNTRY ROUNDUP: CVA sweeps duals in Kirkland

  • KIRKLAND, N.Y. — Clinton runners finished 1-2 ion their home course Sept. 25 but the Central Valley Academy Thunder swept the duals that were contested in Kirkland Town Park.
    Morgan Roy and Haley Allen gave Clinton the top two finishers and Kassidy Karram placed third representing Waterville. Sadie Lincourt and Dana Juby completed the top five for Central Valley Academy with Little Falls’ top finishers, Natasha Scalice, running sixth.

    REMSEN MEET
    REMSEN, N.Y. — Adirondack’s Meghann Tanner ran more than one minute in front of her nearest challenger Sept. 25 and the helped the Wildcats sweep their duals in Remsen.
    Remsen had three of the top five individual finishers, including runner-up Makenna Cooley. Geralynn Swald was herkimer’s top finisher in seventh place.

    POLAND MEET
    POLAND, N.Y. — Cooperstown Hawkeyes Kristin Ratliff and Samantha Fanion finished 1-2 on Poland’s course Sept. 25 but Sauquoit Valley scored a dual meet win in a tie-breaker.
    Cooperstown and Sauquoit Valley each had 28 points after their top five finishers were scored. The sixth Sauquoit Valley runner placed ahead for Cooperstown’s sixth, giving the Indians a win in addition to their 28-32 win against Poland.
    Andrea George of Sauquoit Valley finished third with Poland’s Tara Seigle and Shiane Irwin completing the top five.
