The Children’s Miracle Network Hospital at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare kicked off a fundraising program — CMN Cupcakes — on Sept. 16.
CMN partnered with Sodexo to sell CMN Cupcakes at Jazzman’s Café in the lobby of the St. Luke’s campus. Each cupcake costs $1 with all proceeds going to the CMN Hospital at FSLH.
All of the funds raised through CMN benefit women’s and children’s services at FSLH and benefit children in the community.
The idea for the CMN fundraiser came from Stephanie Smith, a benefits specialist in FSLH’s Human Resources Department.
“I noticed similar fundraisers at area coffee shops and I thought, ‘If they can do it, why can’t we,’” said Smith. “I’m grateful that this idea became a reality and that all of the funds collected will stay at the hospital and help the children in our area.”
Sodexo agreed to provide the red and yellow cupcakes to the CMN for the fundraiser.
“We are thankful to Stephanie for bringing this excellent opportunity forward and are happy to partner with CMN to give back to our community,” said Jordan Little, director of nutrition and hospitality services for FSLH and Sodexo.
