  • A Mohawk man was arrested in connection with a prior burglary in Chadwicks, New Hartford town police said.
Lance Durham, 34, is accused of breaking into a home on Elm Street in Chadwicks on Aug. 29, police said. He’s charged with felony second-degree burglary and misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Police were called to the Elm Street residence on Aug. 29 after a woman came home to find a strange car parked at the end of her driveway. As she was checking out the car, a man climbed out of a front window in the residence, got in the vehicle and drove away, police said.
Durham was taken into custody on Oct. 1 and arraigned in New Hartford Town Court. He was sent to Oneida County jail, where he is being held on several other charges stemming from other incidents in Oneida and Herkimer counties, police said.
